An injection needle which is used to introduce anaesthetic behind the globe of the eye with minimal trauma and haemorrhage. Supplied with either an Atkinson Tip or Sharp Point.
Peribulbar Cannulae
Needles for peribular anaesthetic injection around the eye globe.
Anterior Chamber Cannulae
For maintainence of anterior chamber depth with viscoelastic material, balanced salt solution or air. Also for keeping cornea moist during surgery. Supplied with rounded tip for maximum safety in use.
Cystotomes
Irragating cannulae with an extremely sharp cutting point suitable for capsulotomy or capsularhexis. Formed cystotomes are shaped to conform with an anterior convexity of the crystalline lens.
Lens Extraction (Vectis) Cannulae
Used to assist the removal of the lens nucleus whilst maintaining anterior chamber depth. A double hole in the loop is available to give extra flow during irragation.
Iris Retractor Cannulae
An iris retractor can be used to obtain vision of the 10 to 2 o'clock position behind the iris.
Coaxial Irrigating Aspirating Cannulae
These instruments allow both irrigation and aspiration simultaneously as lens cortex material is removed. These coaxial I/A cannulae are Y shaped for ease of use and offer unrestricted I/A flow.
Simcoe Irrigating Aspirating Cannulae
Standard Simcoe - aspiration is obtained through silicone tubing to the aspirating cannula with a side port. Irrigation is via a Luer hub to a irrigating cannula with an open ended port.
Reverse Simcoe - aspiration is obtained via a Luer hub to an aspirating cannula with a side port. Irrigation is carried through silicone tubing to an open ended aspiration cannula.
Hydrodissection Cannulae
Irrigating cannulae with smooth flattened tips designed to cause less trauma following insertion under the anterior capsule.
Capsule Polishers
A range of quality polishers have been designed for preparing the capsule prior to lens implantation.
Lacrimal Cannulae
These instruments are used for probing and intubation in nasolacrimal surgery.
